Conwy Tourism Ambassador Networking Activity Programme

During October and November, in the lead up to 2024’s Ambassador Week, Conwy County Borough Council is holding an exciting series of events, aimed at complementing the knowledge that their Tourism Ambassadors have already gained through the Wales Ambassador Scheme online learning. It’s also a chance for the Ambassadors to get together!

The events offer something for a range of interests that spans food and drink, history, attractions, travel and local folklore. All events are guided, offer fantastic insights into the area, and provide opportunities for refreshments. They are also all offered free of charge to Conwy’s Tourism Ambassadors.

Starting from the 7th October you can choose to learn how to engage with visitors who may be deaf or hearing impaired, or find out what are the benefits of offering Welsh food and drink to your customers.

You might wish to deepen your knowledge of Conwy County, either by rail or by getting out on a guided walk, through historical, archaeological and cultural stories that add meaning and significance to the county’s landscapes.

Visit some local attractions to discover fascinating histories about our iconic buildings (and a few ghosts), or discover Conwy County’s game-changing contribution to success during the Second World War D-Day invasion.

There is something ‘fantastic’ going on at Oriel Mostyn in Llandudno with an immersive, interactive journey through Wonderland to find Alice – followed by a cream tea of course!

More events are being added, and places are being snapped up fast, so visit the booking website here for the latest information about what’s on and to book your tickets.

This year’s Ambassador Week will take place between 18th and 22nd November. Look out for more events to celebrate our Wales Ambassadors.

These events have been supported by the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund as part of the Improving and Futureproofing the Visitor Economy Project.
